I had to get this because i was having audio sync problems with the new sound bar i got and nothing was really fixing the problem

If i had the cable to the sound bar plugged into my tv i would get a delay since the cable box feeds to the tv first and no matter of changing the audio delay setting would fix it

If i had it plugged into the cable box i couldnt stream audio from the tv apps unless i physically switched the cable
