Pros

Flipping channels between hd and non-hd is instantaneous. Could capture xbox one x at 4k and play on a 1080p screen. It's all controlled through hdcp.

Bought this based on youtube by curtis judd regarding how to share recording timecode from a panasonic gh5 over hdmi. Used this to split a 1080p signal coming from a cat5e extender receiver to 3 exact same tvs. All connected tvs must support dolby vis...  Read More

Cons

When using more than 2 tvs, i get the flicker issue (that my old cheapo 8 port hdmi splitter from ebay had). However (and it's big however), if you put a 1080p monitor or projector in the hdmi 2 position, dolby vision no longer works on the 4k tv. Las...  Read More

Amazingly easy to set up and works very well.

This mro device is stable and handles the combination of devices that my other splitter could not handle.

My early generation lg oled tv does not support earc and limited the optical output to stereo for some hdmi inputs.

Competitiveness

I have a 1080p tv and an oled tv plus a yamaha 3060 receiver connected to this splitter.

I replaced another brand that has dip switches so does not automatically adjust to a variety of output devices.

My main tv is a 4k samsung and my lesser tv is an older sony bravia that is not 4k capable.

I bought this product as i have an older avr which no longer supports some of the newer video features forcing me to connect other sources direct to the tv

I do see now that the outside of the box clearly as opposed to the more cryptic manual does show to use the edid copy mode for 4k dolby vision support which makes sense that edid fixed is straight 4k 60hz support as that is more generic

As i was successful i didnt try 34mixed mode34 as it is implied that may not work with dolby vision
