I also tested with an ipad pro and found that it worked reliably in one orientation but only intermittently when the usb cable was inserted in the opposite orientation

Im not deducting any stars as i cant be sure this wasnt an issue with by ipads port however im notinng the issue here in case others see the same thing

Just a reminder to check the specs of your device as many but not all devices support display port alt mode

You also have the option of turning off the colorful lights if you arent interested in showing off your glowing backlit cords as many gamers apparently do
