The off mode alone is great, but the noise-cancelling takes it to a whole other level. There is an app that allows you to enable an auto mode selector for switching between pass-through, nc, and off modes.
Cons
After 5 months to my disappointment the rigth earbud fails. In fact, they seem to be in pass thru mode by default which makes the background noise even louder. Big mistake. May return this one.

The cons they are tight and just barely fit my big noggin the noise cancelling feature is maybe half as good as the senns were

I had sennhaiser momentum 2 and they are the same weight but i felt momentum were much heavier
