This is a great book for those who want a concise report of jack the ripper including the time and place in which he operated a general outline of the history involving the mythos that took place following that long ago period of time the suspects that have commonly been linked to the mysterious murderer and most importantly most of what we know about the vile serial killers five definitive victims and a bit of a few more murdered women of the time and place who may have been killed by this fiend

Stead a bit more seriously than he should have but he does acknowledge in passing the mans eventual downfall and since this only encompassed a few sentences of the book i did not think it was fair to take a star away for this reason

Have read something about jack the ripper but this got to police reports from leading investigating authorities and the fact some were not what was written by the investigators but changed by others to be what was wanted by the higher ups
