Pros & Cons
Pros
Dorlands wax protects and enhances watercolor and gouache. Better than spray sealant and cheaper than candles.
This is quick to apply and easy to buff smooth just a few hours later. The next day is was no longer tacky. It's ready to use out of the jar.
Cons
Without even trying the product, this is how it arrived boxed.
Highlights
Quality
So far, i've only used it a few times, but i am very satisfied with the results.
The size was a bit small, but i loved the product
I hardly even used any of the product.
Just don't use it until you are entirely finished with the painting.
Packaging/appearance
I don't like fixative sprays and i can't varnish paper the same way acrylic artists get to.
Other than that, it's ready to use out of the jar.
Competitiveness
I saw the ranger brand but didn't want to pay such a high price for such a small container.
