It's very thick but not to cumbersome. It’s sorta like a bed mattress in that the thinner and cheaper you go vs the thicker and plush you go ect. It is thin as it is for travel but it stays put and doesn't crinkle or move.

I am disgustingly dripping sweat in class and this mat allows me to stay put. Jade wears out fast if you are sweaty or oily, but i would rather have a high quality mat that i will replace every other year. Will see about durability in a few months.

I love that i can place it down at the start of my practice and then forget about it. No slipping and sliding. Good grounding for balancing postures.

Cons

For the price the company should include an appropriate descent agent. It leaves my hands and feet feeling greasy and it's hard to wash off that coating. It creates a ton of static electricity when i roll it back up.

The the worst case scenario is slipping and sliding on your mat during hot yoga this is an anti-slip.

Bit on the pricey side but worth it.

For that reason alone, it’s worth the price.
