Pros & Cons
Pros
Sound is incredible for it's size. Deep rich tones and bigger than life sound. Great sound for the price better than bigger dollar speakers.
Jam heavy metal has a level of detail and refinement you would expect from a much more expensive speaker. It's stylish, robust and sturdy. Bought it for my work in a large automotive shop.
No problems at all in connecting. Battery life is decent. The speaker is on, pairing, etc. Given my preferred volume, it's not surprising that the battery life is a little disappointing.
The only slight annoyance on this speaker is the voice that tells you whe. This is great for me because i wanted sound quality over loudness. Although, i wish it would sound louder.
The sound is unbelievably good! Very positively surprised. This is a great speaker, crisp sound and crystal clear.
Cons
Even when plugged in and charging, it still shuts off. Can't get an hour of use on it without the speakers shutting off for no reason. Within a year the battery life is basically non existent.
The voice command are obnoxious. The powering on ready to pair notifications are obnoxiously loud.
Not very intuitive to use. Def has to be a hardware issue. Maximum volume is insufficient. Makes positioning hard.
Highlights
Quality
Great sound not real loud but still fills a 15x15 room with good distortion free tunes.
It pairs so easily and the sound quality is so clear.
It’s excessively loud, no matter what volume you have the speaker set to.
I first started losing the sound, then it started skipping in the music, when i turnd it off and turned it back on it has refused to pair.
Price
Overall i'm extremely satisfied with this especially since it only costs $40.
So for 42 bucks, this thing is incredible, the battery life is good, probably 8 to 10 hours.
This speaker kills everything for the money.
For thirty nine bucks it is a steal.
Shipping
Very pleased and thanks amazon for fast shipping.
Packaging/appearance
Jam might also switch to cardboard packaging even though their trademark acrylic box is nice, they could put that money into lo... Read More
Sometimes it was well packed with cushion but sometimes not.
The plastic box it comes in was cracked but the speaker was undamaged.
Competitiveness
Yes this $40 speaker sounds better than a $200 bose soundlink ii.
Put this speaker up against bose soundlink mini anyday and this speaker wins hands down for a quarter of the price.
I have compared it with a bose soundlink and there is no difference in sound clarity and bass depth.
The design and finish is much superior than bose soundlink.
