The one downside is that they are not very water resistant so they did get quite wet and for a long day outside you would need a back up pair

Once they are wet the thumb whole is hard to get a small finger into because it unfolds a bit

My 6 year old skiied in below zero temps with hand warmers and his hands never got cold
