Pros

Jansport is always the way to go. The durability is as great as it was 30 years ago when i was in college. My son loves it and the navy is a great color! The water botlle pocket is very durable.

Cons

No better than a cutesy character backpack for a kindergartener. My 10th grader's backpack is in shambles. Wow, what a thin fabric for a backpack lol.

My bag looks like pleather instead of real rawhide or leather as described by amazon. The * the particular bag is not made for comfort when has a huge amount of stuff (heavy books) and it's already broken and peeled on the bottom.

Don't expect to get what is pictured. The problem with the synthetic or cheaper material is it has durability issues. Feels very cheap and not durable at all. So beware of purchasing this product from here.

The zipper comes apart nonstop. There is a serious design flaw with the seams that cover the zippers. The cloth around the zipper shouldn't be loose enough to get caught in the zipper.

It seems to be the same quality i remember from jansports in my youth and i expect it'll last for quite a few years.

I trust jansport as a quality brand but i am not on board with white liners!

Not sure if this was just a bad one of if their quality has gone down.

So he got this boring grey backpack, as it is suitably mature for a very-grown-up 13yo.

Chose this specific style because of the leather bottom - which, in my experience, lasts longer than the other jansports.
