Pros

This book builds on all the ideas established in the first one and expands on them in great detail. Japanese is hard work but this book succeeds in taking you through it in an easily digested way. Also, rainbows an unicorns are delicious!

These books are excellent for learners who might be intimidated with the prospect of learning the japanese language from english. It does a great job of teaching katakana and explaining grammar points.

My teen son has been homeschooled since eighth grade. This learning system is brilliant! It give you a little knowledge at a time covering the basics of speech.

The layout is very clean and easy to read. Explanations are clear and concise. It's very understandable and also fun.

This book alone is sufficient for learning and then proceeding toward higher levels with other japanese from zero books. If feel this book does a great job in holding the students hand and directly gets the point across with little confusion.

Cons

It's a shame that i spent money to get a product that arrived damaged. Very poor book in my opinion. Probably going to switch the genki.

It does not feel overwhelming and you can create unique sentences instead of copy and paste phrases from a phrase book.

Nervously waiting for book 3 to be delivered today despite it never making its way to another carrier facility for the past 2 weeks.

Book arrived on time, prestine condition and was thicker than i expected.

Packaging/appearance

Arrived in great condition and if its anything like the first one, it will be pretty good.

Competitiveness

The book is similar to the website format so it's easy to follow along and i'm not confused.

I found this to be my preferred format unlike the japanese from zero book one edition i purchased before.
