It is also seared at the end of the buckle stitch to prevent fraying. It has a painted steel, crimped end, and painted loops. They do the job and feel very sturdy.
The 46-50 inch belt, is 59. Inches. My waist is 46 inches. Very happy to discover sizing was accurate. My pants size is 38 and they fit great.
Good quality stitching.
Cons
The belt is advertised as canvas. In fact it is made of synthetic material, probably nylon. The belts are more like size 28 waist.

They felt cheap made when first getting out of the package.
Good belt, however, not the easiest to undo when you are in a rush to flush.

As a heads up with these or traditional d ring belts the excess of the belt the part past the buckle will end up on the opposite side of the buckle
