Pros

It fits under the passenger front sit of my rig. Can run pretty much from a 12vdc outlet in your car. Fits great in an i3.

If you truly love a proper, equalized system then this is for you…. Wild thang sounds awesome! I just wish it had a deeper sound rather than crisp. Radio stations use continuous look-forward equalizing boxes on their audio prior to transmission.

Couldn’t go wrong with the price, wanted something to enhance listening to music in the truck, but could be better.

It’s not going to give you the deep bass of a boxed 10-12 in sub.

Competitiveness

I also replaced my stock speakers with hertz k170 in front and k165 in the rear.

I would compare the jbl sl2 to a sub you would get in a “premium audio package” that most car manufacturers offer.
