I am not an audiophile, but imho it's the best sound i have ever heard. It is still small enough to be portable and gets loud enough when you need it. Heavy and bulky but those are minor inconveniences.
It feels very durable and well made. Looks modern, aesthetic, solid sturdy construction. It is able to be underwater without completely breaking.
The charge 5 is an outstanding sounding speaker with the best of both worlds. It has an astonishing amount of bass and its clarity is the most impressive i've had. To be out competing a 380 watt system at 40 watts is unbelievable.
Cons
From a full charge, bumping some bass heavy hip-hop, i get about 90 minutes before the change light starts blinking red. This is a mono speaker, it is not stereo.

Sound quality is great, battery life is great, size is perfect.
I used only own the charge 2 and was never terribly impressed.
So, i will keep it to use with my cell for parties, but i am not completely happy with the features it offers.

I’m only able to get about 45 hrs on a full chargefull according to the jbl app

When ive worked 12 hour shifts it would die roughly around the 9 or 10 hour mark at full volume non stop music

This speaker is mounted to my motorcycle and it is almost too loud for around town
