Pros

Easy to pair with any bluetooth device. Nice connectivity range. Battery life is another area where this speaker shines.

Waterproof so that you don't have to worry about your investment getting ruined if you get it wet. My husband stole it to take to our pole barn!

This is amazing! This jbl charge 5, pared to a flip 6 is like a stretch boom-box from one corner of our livingroom to the other! Sounds good, easy to bluetooth. This is a really nice upgrade from my jbl flip.

Enjoy up to 20 hours of playtime. Water proofing is good enough that my wife showers with it. Perfect for a bonfire.

It's like the energizer bunny of speakers – it keeps going and going. I can still hear it well even if i get out of the cart and walk up on the green to putt.

Cons

Speakers sound crackly and tinny, speakers sound blown out. Lost something when converting the music to mono. To be so big and clunky one would and should expect more.

However, that’s where it stops. I have yet to make it longer than 4 hrs. Sometimes will turn on sometimes not. By the beginning of the next week, dead within three hours.

No battery, not really an outdoor device, and quite a bit bigger. It says in the package 20 hours of playtime and mind that no one use it as a charger. Unit also fails to charge when plugged in and still trying to listen to music.

Compared to the bose this one is louder folks, and well worth the price.

I was between this and the extreme model and went with this based on price and other reviews.

I've had the bose mini bar and the jbl sound is equal to the bose but at a lower price.
