Pros
The clarity is awesome, no distortion at all. The sound is amazing for the size and very clear with more bass than you might expect.
The casing hides all the cables below and offers great fung shue to any environment. The only downfall is that the system does not recharge.
They look classy, the sound if off the charts. I use them mounted vertically on a home-made bracket that sits out of sight behind the laptop screen.
Small size, portability, and simplicity of the speaker is a big plus. It fills my needs perfectly. Appearance is absolutely beautiful, and extremely slick.
Comes with a thin storage sack which holds the speakers, but it takes a lot effort to put the ac adaptor and audio input cable in the sack with the speakers. Can be powered by 4 aaa batteries or ac wall outlet adaptor.

What you can expect is good sound, good volume, and good portability.
These offer great sound quality for small spaces, i use them at work at my nurses station or at home while cooking in the kitchen.
S/n is vey low and the batteries i use are rechargable - i get about 20 hours out of the batteries at a med volume level.
This past 6 months as speakers for a 24 inch flat screen tv (our bedroom).
Price
Definitely a good buy, especially if you can snag em for $26 like i did!
Good sound for the price -- have tried it for all sorts of music, tv, skype.
99 for the system which was on sale from $52.
99 (i believe, i know it was not more than a $55.
Shipping
I travel 4 days a week and it's perfect for a hotel room, pre partying, or just chilling.
We both recommend it and received it at the time expected.
Packaging/appearance
Its "clam shell" design makes it easy to pack and keeps the speakers protected from damage.
As it is, the adapter must be packed separately -- bad for absent-minded types like me.
Competitiveness
I typically run pandora through my phone, or occasionally use my ipod, both of which have about the same sound quality.

Not only does it sound great but the other night while i was listening to my speaker on the roof of my apartment building a huge storm came through

As i was hurrying to leave the roof as there were tornado warnings i accidentally left the speaker on the roof

Several hours later i realized i had left the speaker on the roof through this horrible storm where there was seven tornado touchdowns with about 3 inches of rain
