Pros

Best bang for your buck in my opinion for bluetooth speakers. I still have my original 1st gen jambox that was $300 over 10 years ago.

My only downfall is i can’t get another one to sync it to. But it cranks! Super battery. Just a bit bulky but comes with a carrying strap.

Bought for my sportster. The normal price seems a bit pricey, but then again a fastfood meal for two is over $20 now.

Cons

Doesn't sound much better than the charge 5. Double the price and almost the same loudness. Compared to the sony xp500, which is the same price, this thing is pathetic.

The bass is almost non-existent. Not even the mids, it is super high-frequency heavy, like a tweeter. Treble is out of control at moderate to loud volumes.

I can not pair with the old charge 3 which i think is stupid.

I’d say save your money and buy the gen 1 xtreme cause you’re not missing out on a lot with the latest xtreme 3.

Packaging/appearance

A few weeks in, the battery wasn't holding a charge, so because it was still in the 30-day timeframe, i sent it back as defective.

Competitiveness

In a sea of music players, this one stands out above the competition.

Im definitely keeping it but totally planning on doing more research to get what im truly looking for in a protable bluetooth speaker.
