Pros
It is like having a water feature in the background (but it is noticeable so if you want super quiet, this may not be for you) the motor is quiet. It makes a pleasant trickling sound. When the sounds gets louder you know it's time to fill it.
My cat loves that he has his own water source that my 90lb dog can't get to. Well, the good news is he is fascinated with this fountain. My cat likes it too.
The stainless steel fountain keeps the water cold and is bpa free. It is dishwasher safe construction. The water seems to stay cooler in the stainless steel.
Callie loves bugging her family for us to give her water from the sink. This satisfies her need for running water.
Water level indicator on the front makes it easy to determine when it needs to be refilled. The buoyant indicator helps you see how much water they are drinking throughout the day. Only downfall is small & have to refill alot.

It makes enough water noises to intrigue them but it doesnt splash so hard to scare them away
