Pros
Looks to be true red, a nice bright shade, not burgundy or red-orange. They're warm and sturdy, generally very well constructed. They have closures at ankles to keep snow and cold from crawling up your legs.
They are a little long on him, but the drawstrings on the bottom helps to keep them from dragging on the ground. Toggles on the ends of the draw string so they never get lost in the waistband.
I have a 33in inseam and am 6'1 tall and the xxl fit perfect. Medium size feels like large to xl so go 1 smaller.
Deep pockets are great, as well as draw strings to cinch the ankles. Velcro on pockets seem incredibly durable.
All the tight fitting stuff out right now is an affectation that was popular in the seventies. Pleasantly surprised at the comfort and fit of these.
Cons
These are nice sweat pants but the size is way too big. The length is way to long. The waist is small and the rest of the pant is baggy.

Absolutely love the pants but the price is high.

I ordered 3xl in the navy and grey for christmas, he is 5'9, and the pants are way to long.
