Pros

Bought 2 and programmed to work in unison. Better instructions on setup.

Impeller is part of ceramic shaft. Rides in two ceramic receptacles on each end.

Cons

Quit after 8 mts. Customer service dosnt exist. Even a year is a lousy lifespan.

The impeller spins freely in the clean ceramic bushings. It spins then after a few minutes quits again. These pumps are commodity priced but at $70+, they still aren't cheap.

Bought icecap 4k gyre instead (bit pricey but still affordable as compared to maxspect). The design is flawed and company takes no responsibility.

Nice pump for the money lots of flow.

These are the best bang for the buck out there.

I'm retired, don't have enough income for a $250+ pump.

Competitiveness

It's still a cheap and great pump compared to tunze and ecotech prices.

I've tried quite a few lower cost pumps, and so far these are the best for the money.

Don't expect these to last as long or be as quality of the top brand wavemakers and you will be just fine.
