Pros

I no longer have to wait for sundown or put a blanket over my head to see if it's working. The stainless steel portion is very robust. Made with quality parts and design.

Sch 40 pvc on the intake end and a pvc stub to a reducing coupling to the 1. Inch pump. My configuration has a skimmer that feeds thru a pressure biofilter. Also a bottom drain connected to a vortex filter.

Cons

The smallest you can use is for 1 inner pipe. There is alignment issue for the rings, and it keeps leaking. Sort of disappointing this time. Looks as though where the brackets went is where the issue developed.

This is infinitely customizable and a wonderful product.

I needed to use the black rubber adapters with the hose clamp on each end.

Edit: replacing it this springeffectiveness declined and product stopped working last summer.

However with the jebao, it's mid-july and i have used no algaecide yet this season.

Price

The price was less than half what we were paying for uv clarifers of the same capacity.

Packaging/appearance

The skimmer and vortex pumps feed a common discharge pipe feeding the jebao.

It would be nice if you could just get elbows that fit onto the filter and discard the original one since they are sort of a pain.

Competitiveness

Really solid construction, works better than my 33w.

A novice may need to seek assistance from a professional.

I installed a larger 77 watt jebao uv clarifier about 6 weeks ago and it cleared up pond water in about three weeks.
