Pros & Cons
Pros
The pump works great and the little colored lights do add some flare to my project. The item is a bit overpowered but on the lowest setting it works fine. It is quiet and has a good cord that is grounded.
This is perfect for our porcelain christmas watermill. The pump is the perfect size for our birdbath. I'm using it in my indoor shrimp pond as a low-power fountain pump.
Decided to start using my desktop fountain again after 15 or more years of nonuse. New cord is better in that it is thicker and round, whereas the old cord was thinner and flat. Hope the new pump lasts considerably longer.
Cons
First pump last less than 48 hours due to ac/dc transformer malfunction. Manufacturer says there is a 12 month warranty period for defects in material or workmanship. No paperwork or warranty.
Highlights
Quality
I haven’t had my pump long but it works great and very quiet.
This happened with the last one and there was nothing i could do.
The manufacturer of the dogit fountain for dogs has discontinued the pump that goes with the fountain (i contacted them directly).
Price
The price is great also compared to garden centers and regular stores.
I really like that part, and the price is fair.
Competitiveness
Exact model as the henry fountain pump for 1/4 of the price.
Had to adjust the flow cause it was too strong for my dyi filter.
Cause i know some pumps that are made in china loose power cause they were made for 220v outlets.

This pump performed decently but it has a bad tendency to freeze up with no obvious provocation

I can feel the vibration of the motor through the fan blades but no motion

Simply mechanically dislodging the fan usually gets it to run again but as this is positioned under a heavy rock fountain in the middle of a 4 pond i have a lot of difficulty getting to it

I started jabbing a piece of bamboo down through the outlet port to jar the fan and that worked a dozen or so times but now the fan just isnt coming free
