I have had 2wire lamp style cords and my experience is that they are for indoor applications or they will dryrot or uvcrack and break to expose the wire and pop the breaker rendering them useless in less than one season

The pump is set up to recirculate water from the tray of the saw so has to deal with loads of sediment getting buried in mud and generally just not having the life of a celebritys child

I wanted something with a slower flow rate so my arduino and ultrasonic sensor could accurately measure the water level in a small reservoir while the pump was running
