Pros

The pump connects to a power supply just like a laptop. The pump at this setting is absolutely silent, and we have a ton of breathing room for reduction of performance as the pump ages.

Best adjustabe return pump for the price. I hope the pump lasts! Price is great as well, didn't break the bank for a good quality. I like that it's speed adjustable and quiet. Great value for the money.

Feed button is great for keeping food from going straight to the overflow. Slow start-up feature is easy on the plumbing. The controllable speed and feed mode is a great feature.

I have this pump installed on a casco pet store aquarium system. Used in a reef aquarium sump. We have a couple of dollars and a red tail shark and i have it on a 3 setting for them and all seems fine.

The seal around the propeller housing finally gave out and started leaking water the other day.

We are only able to run it on 1/5 speed with (2) 1" overflows before the water line in the display tank starts to creep up.

Great pump at a great price, i have 3 of these pumps and all have been great.

I'm going to buy a 2nd one just to keep as a backup or for mixing large batches of saltwater, but for $122 you can't go wrong!

I got the 12000 for a 220gallon aquarium and my expectations have been exceeded.

Fast delivery, have it outside on my koi pond, seems to do the job, i thought there was a low flow shutoff, haven't figured it out yet.

Competitiveness

I definitely recommend this brand of dc pumps over the more expensive competitors.

It could be built a little better, but way cheaper than the alternatives that push the same amount of water.

Other mainstream named pumps can cost well over double the price of this pump.
