Single hose ac works well in my 160 sq ft bedroom in new york. Works well for my living room in a very humid environment. We have an 8000 btu unit, but the bedroom in our new house is bigger, and we live in the arizona desert.

The water reservoir is completely empty. The water tray fills up and the unit shuts off! This happens even though i didn't ask for it to dehumidify.

Amazon needs to rethink its recommendations program. Dealing with seller soleus air has been another disappointment.

The temperature setting is also in celsius, which is a bit annoying. However, i think that might contribute to why it doesn't feel like it cools much, since it emits more moisture.

Cheap plastic housing feels flimsy and the condenser itself has an awful high-pitched buzz. At this point it's a glorified fan that's extremely irritating. Now the motor sounds the same regardless of which mode it is on.
