Pros

As one reviewer said, it also slightly obscures your view through the viewfinder, though i didn't find that to be a real concern.

Highly recommended, specially at this price. It is exactly as advertised. This product meets my needs perfectly and the price is right!

The lens hood attaches via a bayonet mount. The protection to my x100v from a weather sealing perspective is 99. It's less painful to scratch or accidentally dent one that is less expensive!

The threads seem to be well machined as it * on easily. Threads all line up and the hood stays put when twisted on.

Fits well, lock well, and priced much better than the fujifilm product. Fits perfect and snug. It fits snugly and looks factory.

Cons

When connected, the hood is never tight. It rotates loosely and rattles. This knock-off hood is not compatible with the fuji filter adapter because the bayonet hooks are not the same size.

The price and quality is right where it should be on this.

I've been very pleased with the quality of it.

If using a 49mm, your fingers will not be able to screw / unscrew the circular polarizer which is lodged with the adapter ring.

However when used with the flash it cast a shadow.

The first is a thin ring that will screw onto the x100s lens or any other lens with a 49mm thread.

Love it as long as we keep getting money back from the feds

Competitiveness

I purchased this lens hood and adaptor for my new fuji x100s camera for a price that i could not pass up.

An inexpensive option for my fuji x100s versus the fuji option.

Let me first preface this statement by saying i am a novice photographer.
