This does the job as a converter and is lockable. It slides into the mini hotshoe and is held in place by a small, retractable, latch. It has a locking pin to stop it slipping off.

Bought this so i could use standard shoes with my canon camcorder with the smaller hot-shoe.
Pretty good quality and is doing the job of holding my mic aloft well.
Price
It has saved me the cost of buying the expensive custom fitting canon dm-100 microphone instead.

On the full-size shoe, two metal strips help hold any attachment in place.

Please bare in mind that theres a slight leaver you need to press whilst sliding it in the mini advanced hot shoe

Removal was a nightmare as i found it hard to press that leaver and push the adpater out
