Pros
The magnetic legs end is a strength! It stitches my monocular to a surface like a super glue. Magnets are pretty strong and the whole thing is sturdy. The magnet tips are very strong.
This thing is awesome! Works like a champ. Joby's customer service is terrible, but i still swear by their tripods. It works great! Still working fine lol.
The magnetic base makes this gorillapod extra versatile. If you are looking for an addition to your kit for additional versatility this is a good option to add. I love the fact that this thing sticks to anything metal, especially my car!
Cons
The joints are too loose. The tilt mechanisms is also loose. There is no way to maintain tension. The magnets are not strong enough to hold an iphone from a vertical wall.

Works very well strong magnets has no problems holding my nikon aw130 even with only one magnetic foot attached
Magnets are pretty strong and the whole thing is sturdy.
It worked well for the first two weeks but on the last week ballhead broke and camera was loose.
The grains are so small it is difficult to grab them with anything and the magnet keeps it stuck to the feet of the tripod.

These are a bit pricey but worth it.

Tripod arrived late in a smashed box.
Only downside, amazon choose to transfer shipment to my local usps.
Packaging/appearance
We had it on a plastic box and it slid pretty easily when we moved the table.
Competitiveness
The magnets won't hold much more than that.

Got this because i have had times where i really wanted to mount my phone or small pocket camera for a photo or video and my regular joby small tripod was just too big or no place to mount it

But be warned the magnets arent that strong so dont plan on anything bigger than a mobile phone action camera or point and shoot camera

Of course the legs will grip things but the legs are much smaller than my older small joby tripod

Doesnt matter if youre in the woods outside or your kitchen indoors the ability to wrap the arms around anything or use the magnets makes this gorillapod an absolute game changer
