Pros

The tripod is very sturdy and easy to fold in or out. The adjustable head remains very secure when the camera is attached to guarantee a very steady shot. The legs have an excellent rubberised grip on each leg, so when grasping it in your hands, it fe...  Read More

This joby handypod mini tripod is brilliant. Sturdy and hopefully will last as long as my other joby products.

Push-button release/lock function makes setting up your camera quick and easy. It’s easy to fold, carry about and to attach to my nikon dslr. Can also be used to hold speakers or lights.

The adjustable ball joint head works well but the ball head is unnecessarily stiff. Thankfully if you undo the t-screw at the bottom of the head mechanism, it gives you access to re-tighten the ball and get it back to new!

Sturdy tripod that doesn't topple over. Works well with fuji x100t and nikon coolpix p1000. Great for shaky hands.

Cons

The mobile clamp is not secure.

Quality

Build quality and materials both seem high quality, no concerns there.

So a solid recommendation for build and functionality with the right kind of camera body/lens combo.

I am least impressed with the remote.

The spring loaded one doesn't inspire full confidence when walking or cycling with the phone recording.

Price

The price is higher than other portable stands but ultimately you are paying for quality and peace of mind for a small, stable ...  Read More

For the price i think it should.

Packaging/appearance

My nikon d7200 was way too heavy for nature macro shots pointing to the ground.

It seems to copy the manfrotto design - which is no bad thing as that was a red dot award winner.

Competitiveness

It is equally at home supporting my full sized and pretty heavy dslr as it is with my wife's compact.

I can use it with a variety of cameras such as my small canon sx500 right up to my larger nikon d5100 dslr.

It only loses on price compared to the equally reputable brand competition.

It cannot be used as a selfie and it is not great on uneven ground.

Generally speaking its a good deal and nice package and im certain i would have been happy with this however i decided to return it due to it not working properly with my 12 pro maxi purchased this with the intention of using the impulse remote for night photography or taking shots while using the grip feature of the tripod but sadly although this will pair with the phone i was unable to take any shot in any of the camera settings during repeated attempts to take a shot with the phone as intended

I did try testing the remote with an old galaxy s8 phone to see if the remote was faulty and it worked perfectly with that but after a few successful attempts of reconnecting the device in the bluetooth settings of the 12 pro max but it unable to take a shot in the camera mode realised there must be some limitation or obscure setting i couldnt fathom out in the settings

This was great for 12 months but after just over 18 months of use it can’t hold up the weight of my 11 pro max anymore and i wouldn’t consider this to be heavily used either

Used mainly in initial lockdown for video calls but has been sat in a draw most of the time folded up and away

Not worth what it is when you can buy much cheaper versions for less

The title pretty much says it all

All three look outwardly the same but there are differences once you have used them in anger for a whilethe cheap nobrand copy looks like the other two but is clearly a cheaper build the legs are lighter and use less plastic and rubber only appears on feet
