Ive now bought two of these straps for two different cameras and i like this strap more than any other ive found although on some cameras the slot will be either too small or difficult to fit the strap through easily

The strap is strong yet its a soft material and because of the design it will tighten on your wrist if you drop your camera

Rather it is backup protection in case the camera slips out of your hands

I never once felt it could fail and ultimately cause me to drop my camera

Just long enough that you can manipulate the camera but not long enough for it to dangle too far

At one point i had shamefully let the camera slip out of my hand with the wrist band being on rather loose
