Light brown or dark blonde hair needs toning right after i lift it. Blue shampoo is good to use in between getting your hair toned. The joico shampoo and conditioner really do tone down brassy tones in my brunette hair.

Joico color balance blue is very moisturizing. It's a bit hard to lather but once started it gets crazy lather-y. My hair is not only soft snd shiny but it moves like healthy, untreated hair.

Not as blue as some blue shampoos but more an aqua tone yet still does the job. Perfect for eliminating brassy and orange undertones.

The scent is fine and not as chemically as i was worried about. It smells like bubble gum/cotton candy, its not overbearing either.

The only good thing about this stuff is the smell. I am not confident enough in the staining of this shampoo to use it again. Its so drying on the hair.

Since my highlights were darker and more copper/orange-y, my research pointed toward blue shampoo instead. This product is not good for blonde hair at all.
