Pros

It sprays on lightly and has a pleasant scent. The smell is nice and the product doesn’t flake.

Joico thermal protectant is the perfect product to use prior to flat ironing my hair. It protects my hair from heat and gives it some shine. It's the perfect amount that makes it shiny but not greasy.

Highly recommended. Have been using it regularly for 2-3 weeks now.

It works beautiful to straighten hair without damaging it. It isn't oily so it allows curls to hold well. Makes your hair feel lightweight, and seems to make my hair even curl better.

Cons

This product feels and smells like hairspray. It also seems much too lightweight to even help from a curling or straightening iron. The only good thing about this product is the smell.

I am bewildered at all the positive reviews for joico heat protectant. Spraying a light mist really wouldn’t even coat/protect the hairs.
