Pros
Just lift the top side a little tiny but and push back down ever so gently. Blades are sharp, they slice through easily. Only downside is that the little cup that protects the brush is very close in diameter to the brush portion.
Soft, but needs to be a bit softer for mushrooms. The bristles are soft so they won't damage the mushrooms, unlike vegetable brushes. It is soft enough to to not hurt the egg but thought e ought to to remove the dirt.
Cons
The plastic brush cover is too tight and will not come off. They can't be straightened. Tried to bend it back, but didn't work. Swipe over mushroom so nothing to it.

Then i squeezed in in several place with the vice grip, so much that some of the bristles were pressed on and voila!

I like the storage cover for the bristles but until you learn the secret to opening it it’s a pain to get off the brush

My secret method is to not try to pull it straight off away from the holder but to rock it off to one side
