The catch mechanism in the down position didnt want to stay in place at first but after i slightly squeezed the bottom of the bracket sides part of bracket that attaches to the wall together with pliers it would catch and hold in the lowered position

As it is a tiny space i wanted a table with the option to fold it down when more space was needed

I highly doubt that it can withstand the advertised weight but for my purposes it is more than enough
