The black color is fine but i would find more uses for these lamps in brushed nickel or silver

The fixture seems solid and well made lots of metal and smoothlyworking joints and i like the antique brass finish but after charging the lamp i was disappointed to find that it does not work

It turned on briefly with the remote and then flashed out followed by a burnedelectronic smell
