I bought several of the irwin brand clamp at lowes - big mistake - stay away from that brand - two out of eight clamps slipped -actually couldn't clamp down - and the smaller non heavy duty ones have slippery wood handles - even the irwin heavy duty version is anemic compared to this jorgenson - and costs morejorgenson is proper - beefy and has a great overmolded rubber grip - don't be nostalgic for the wood handles - these aremuch better - really allows for cranking down - actual clamp pads are much larger to - less proneindenting wood  Read Less
