Pros
Minor gripe is the gripping mechanism to hold bags is rubber. Less emptying the garbage, buying fewer garbage bags.
Cons
Not impressed with the compaction feature. Bags (iw4) are rarely available and are not super durable. The mechanism that holds the compactor together is plastic and held together by small plastic caps.
Filter design is useless and provides zero benefit. Product was not engineered properly. It's too bad as i was super stoked to get it.

Price
Second: yes it is expensive, but it will pay for itself if you live anywhere that charges garbage pickup fees based on volume.
We have limited garbage pick up and i was desperate to find something inexpensive that would help out with my amount of garbage.
For a $200 garbage can it works amazing but i set a pizza box on top of it and scratched the lid.
A little pricey but works as advertised and stainless steel is easy to keep clean.

I will admit my first reaction involved the seeming insanity of spending over 200 on a fancy garbage can with its own special absurdly expensive bags
