This steamer basket is so much easier to handle than the metal ones that fall apart if you look sideways at them. The handle is sturdy and makes it easy to remove piping hot items. Love it for steamed broccoli… no more soggy broccoli.
Bought 2 & gave my daughter-in-law one. Love this product. This mighty steamer is awesome!
Cons
Green pieces keep popping off. Had water in it when opened lid. Only fits two custard cups. Missing a leg, and no leg in evidence in the packaging.
Just offering a buyer beware to others looking at this option. This is not worth the hassle.

Have used for 3 months even accidentally evaporated water twice no damage holds.
It doesn't retain the heat so you can lift it out of pan without burning your fingers.
I have been looking for a new steamer and hopefully this doesn't break like previous ones since it is a plastic type of material.

And then unfortunately my husband accidentally left something steaming in a pot with the stove on 34high34 and came back to find it had melted the water for the steam had not all burned out yet

I think i will try a different product that is less bulky and may be better to use in smaller pots for smaller steaming needs
