Knife block small & compact so doesn't take up to much space. The only down side is that they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. Block is slimline and fits nicely against the wall, taking up a small amount of space.

Cons
Knives seem average but the block is hopeless. Knives either fall out or the block falls over as you pull a knife out. It's not heavy enough to counteract the magnets.

These knives all have the same feature as all of their cooking utensils which have a feature on the handle and are balanced such that the working end does not touch the work surface when put it down to rest

Ive had a set of joseph joseph knives before about 56 years ago and wasnt very impressed with the quality of the knives

The thinness of the base does make it a little less stable and you need to put your knives in the opposite way than you expect which takes a little getting used to but in a small kitchen its a small price to pay
