I wish i had gotten it sooner, it's great. My mum loves this!
This is my second purchase of the expandable trivet. This one is the ultimate in practicality. Most trivets are round or square so you need more than one if you have a rectangle pan.
It easily expands and holds large casserole dishes flat for easy serving. They expand so they can be used for a small or large container. They look a whole lot better than the pot holders that i used.

It's a little pricey for what it is, but so worth it to protect your tabletop without the hassle of pads and table cloth.
