Quality
The quality of the build though is great.
Excellent quality product as you’d expect from joseph joseph.
The bin is very sturdy, i've had it over 2 months and haven't noticed any issues with the opening/closing mechanism.
I bought this specifically as i had trouble with the smells from my last bin and cat waste disposal.
Price
Have wanted this bin for a while but was put off by the price tag - so happy it came up in a lightning deal.
Packaging/appearance
This work very well for me as i have a small kitchen everything is out of the way.
Generally this is a kitchen bin and realistically you can only get a couple days of packaging in this before you need to empty it.
Don’t expect to get packaging in from amazon parcels or even other household recycling.
Competitiveness
Well you’ve obviously not got a joseph joseph totem!
I found a generic brand at the local supermarket for less than half the price and they work just fine.

The recycling section at the bottom is a little small but tbh food packaging is crazy

I can fit more rubbish in there than with my old peddle bincons having the food waste slot inside the main bin is a bad idea

When you take it out the rubbish around it shifts and then you need to paw around inside the bin to put it back

As the caddy is quite deep the bin doesnt even need to be half full before this becomes a problem

Jjs suggestion that you can just take it out and plonk it on your worktop presumably coated in all kinds of bin juice if you keep it in the top compartment and then gently nestle it back inside plainly doesnt really match with reality

I opted for the latteroverallthe pros comfortably outweigh the cons just a shame the food waste part of the bin isnt as well thought out as the rest
