Pros

Three (3) measuring cups are made of the best glass, borosilicate glass. Measurements are standard and metric.

Replaced my 25 yr old set of pyrex with these. Borosillicate high-temperature glass was invented in germany by otto schott in 1887. They are just as good as pyrex mesuring cups.



Cons

Two of the three do not pour cleanly, rather they create a sort of screen of whatever you are pouring. Pour spout is poorly formed too thin and short. Useless for cooking. I hear the newer pyrex have the same problem.

    I had heard from friends and family about socalled pyrex baking dishes and other containers exploding when exposed to heat and it recently happened to me when a fake pyrex container just exploded and ruined a half pound of raw shrimp

    At some point lower cost imitators using soda ash instead of boron appeared in the market and it is these ripoffs that blow up and ruin meals with embedded shards of glass fragments
