Right-angle connector works very well, but care needs to be taken in selecting the right version. The connector fits snugly on the power connector and has been working 100% as intended. This adapter cable exceeds my expectations.
Bought this for an asus rtx 4080. Both cards are gigabyte aero. Combined this with 4080, corsair rm1000x, and a cablemod corair psu 3x8 to 12vhpwr connector.
The pny verto 4090 tf (only white led) has a taller backplate than some gpus maybe.
Highlights
Quality
New power cord works perfectly and i am able to have much cleaner wiring in my pc.
So far the cable seems to work exactly as described, is solid, and fits nicely.
Msi 4090 liquid x under relatively heavy load for 13 months now, and no fires.
With all the drama around adapters and cables catching on fire the last thing i wanted was a low quality cable.
Price
A bit expensive for a few cables.
With the melting issues on a expensive card i will keep checking but foresee no issues.
Shipping
Plus it is on amazon so you don't need to wait weeks as well for delivery.
Mine arrived the next day and plugged in very snug and had the "click" that you want.
The new ones they are shipping don't have the tab that was in some people's way.

I was slightly worried a lesser brand like this would have issues but surprisingly has been better than expected.

I did not notice the cable getting hot or even warm at all as some other reviewers had noticed or commented on

Original review while this was plugged into my 4080 it would lose power and cause my pc to become unresponsive to the point i had to pull the power cord

If you have something like an aorus master where the heatsink is giant and juts out below the power slot get this instead

Please double check you are buying the right configuration either option a or b because the 4pin connector location varies by gpu
