Pros & Cons
Pros
I have this pedal behind my tuner and it's the first effect on my board. It is great for evening out the string response and works well with single coil and humbuckers. The joyo chorus really sparkles with this mod.
This isn't the best compressor pedal on the planet, but it certainly does its job. The controls are big to be easily adjusted and easily visually check your settings. Easy to dial in.
It's the only 'permanently-on' unit on my board and gives just enough compression to tell you it's there. It also boosts the level if you wish.
It's solidly built metal. The pedals are pretty sturdy for the most part also. The only downside is, the jacks are quite cheap and i don't think they would hold up to much use over time but mine will be hard wired on a pedal board.
Cons
The jf-10 stopped working, suddenly at home, and now there is no sound output when switched on. This will be returned asap. Pulled it out of my chain and came back to it two months later. The first one's on/off switch was broke, the second one's outpu... Read More
Gaaah. Nothing seems to function on it except the level knob. It * so much of my amp volume that i have to crank my amp way louder than necessary to compensate.
In the 90's i read an article about the hellecasters and they said that there was a new company out of europe, carl martin, that produces the cleanest comp they had heard. This pedal is utterly worthless for me. It only tosses out thesignal as clean. ... Read More

Highlights
Quality
The volume on this is a great feature to counter the suppression of the sounds when activated.
This is the only pedal in my chain i had to move in front of the noise gate, it likes to hum just slightly, even on clean power.
I would say this product is defective at best and i’m actually bummed out about this purchase.
Now, this compressor is super-subtle right out of the box.
Price
It's alright, i'm giving this a 4 stars because it's noisy, and it feels at $37, about $7 too much.
I'm a fan of inexpensive, all-analog chinese-made guitar pedals.
Bordering $40 i feel like i need to point out you're already that much closer to a better pedal.
