The material is heavy duty, extremely durable, and the zippers are good quality, easy to grab with the loops.
I tried both, 30 and 40 ounce vacuum sealed stainless steel cups on them, and they both fit in each side holder.
This bag is decently durable, but i would not put too much abuse on it.

This backpack has a small handle on each side allowing each to hook on each hand grip making it hang on the back in the middle
