Pros

Strong enough to keep my laundry sliding door closed. Not too loose and definitely not too tight. The magnet on this thing is strong and we have not noticed that our dogs were able to push the door open.

The trick is simple. Function as stated. It works pretty good. Definitely works well and does the job.

Cons

It is amazingly frustrating. Will have to figure another way to keep the puppy out of the trash can.

The screws that came with these catches are so soft, that the philips head top strips out when trying to screw into pre-drilled pine. There is no easy way to mount this as the head of the screws rips out with very little pressure.

The micky mouse adhesive used for the catches appears to have melted. Either the magnet hits the plate and the door bounces back open or the door swings as freely as before installing.

I would give them 5 stars if they gave instructions and packed in the 2 different types of screws with the kit.

I would also recommend going the your local hardware store and buying 40 flat screws for mounting the magnets.
