Pros & Cons

Pros

Stainless steel magnetic door catches are a great value. They are much better than the plastic cased ones. The magnet is strong and looks great.

They appear more shiny in the picture, but they are brushed aluminum in color. They really stand out well over the old painted over ones they replaced.

Cons

The magnets are too weak and aren't 15 pounds of force. The magnet holding strength is inconsistent. The metal piece opposite of the magnet is super small.

These catch assemblies are all show no go. Not impressed. The catch plates are too small.

The screw looses its imprint as you are * it. It's a huge oversight for a product that's supposed to work through magnetism to come with non-magnetic screws.

Quality

High quality product, once you install one the rest go very easy and fast.

Even my cabinets with bent/warped hinges close properly, and are held in place with the force of the magnet.

Also, the recessed-head screws didn't quite match the bevels in the striker plates, causing the screw heads to protrude slightly.

Competitiveness

They drive properly with a ph2, but will round out with a ph1.

The only significant thing to keep in mind, imo, is to use a ph2 screwdriver.
