It's quite tall, maybe taller than i expected because it is so much taller than the gooseneck one i had to replace. Great height for viewing without distraction for a milli second.
This far exceeds my last cup phone holder. I improvise and makes things work better. The clip is not a deal breaker in the slightest.
Cons
Stand is flimsy. Phone constantly moving and does stand upright. Slowly began to wobble at the base and then eventually just gave out. Any tiny bump in the road the hinges fold.
