We will be securing the caps to the post with construction adhesive

These do not have a hole in the top for nailing so either drill one yourself or use construction adhesive on the inside corners to attach to 4x4 posts

I first installed them without any glue or fasteners but after a strong wind storm one evening a few blew off their posts

Also the caps may be painted whatever color you want they come black

They just barely fit your typical 4x4 post
