Maybe i need an amp but that was the point of getting these speakers. Do not purchase to replace your factory premium sound systems such as infinity (chrysler), sony (ford), etc.

The speakers sounded good considering they were being powered from the factory headunit but still leaps and bounds above the stock set.
I had no plans to upgrade the sound system in my 2009 mercedes c300, but then the drivers side front speaker suddenly stopped working.
Price
Great price and installs / sounds very nice.
Sounds great, and for the price makes them that much better.
The adapter is here on amazon for five or six bucks.
For around $60 total and a day's work, i'm really enjoying my stereo again.
Packaging/appearance
A very harmonious package once broken in and dialed.

I had to use mounting brackets and i bought wiring harnesss so i didnt have to rewire anything
